Kevin Alexander 鈥13

As a student, Kevin was one of the inaugural COOP Community Service Interns and received several Levitt Center internships and participated in the Levitt Leadership Institute. These opportunities, he said, 鈥渁llowed me to connect my on- and off-campus experiences in personal, professional, and academic ways.鈥

Melissa Law-Penrose

Melissa has extensive experience in various roles that include advising; teaching, student success, mentoring and outreach. She has worked in student affairs at Elizabethtown College, Purdue University, and the University of Louisville.

Logan Lyons

Logan earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in psychology and a Ph.D. in human development and family studies, with an emphasis on adolescent development and the intercollegiate transition from from Utah State University. During her time at USU she served as a sport psychology consultant, and student-athlete academic success mentor.

Carly comes to 新澳开奖 from Ohio State University, where she completed graduate work and subsequently served as an academic advisor. She earned a B.A. in from Macalester College and a Ph.D. from Ohio State University.

Students who are assigned an ALEX Advisor can find out who their ALEX Advisor is via under the Network Menu.

The ALEX Advisors are located in Couper Hall. Office locations are listed under the advisor's name (under "Meet the Team" above) and there is directional signage in the building. Please email your ALEX advisor or ALEXAdv@hamilton.edu if you have additional questions.

ALEX advisors are eager to meet with you to help you create the college experience you want, no matter where you are in your journey. Students meet with ALEX advisors for a variety of reasons, ranging anywhere from having a specific question to wanting to discuss larger and more complex topics. Your ALEX advisor will help connect you with programs, services, and resources, enhance the experiences you already are having, and provide you with the tools to get the most out of your time at 新澳开奖.

ALEX advisors meet individually with students, and how often they meet depends on each student's goals. Meeting frequency varies anywhere from once a semester to weekly appointments.

Yes, the ALEX advisors can make accommodations and meet over Zoom if necessary.

They connect you with resources, services, and programs that will support you throughout your four years, and offer guidance in areas such as off-campus study, experiential learning, and finding balance in your life.

Compass is a digital platform that serves as your one-stop shop to connect with the people and resources in your success network and "raise your hand" if you need help. Faculty and staff can provide you with direct feedback in the form of kudos, flags, and messages, and refer you to support services as needed.
